Each attendee learned how to set her GPS for college and career
and pack her bag with the valuable tools needed to map out her road
to success. Professional women executives, including representatives
from Dale Carnegie Training, Junior Achievement, and Calhoun Community
College, prepared them to get in the driver's seat and start cruisin'.
Attendees looking for a free ride learned how to seek out scholarships
and financial aid to help finance their college education. Key note
speaker was Engineer and Former NASA Astronaut Dr. Jan Davis.

Attendees
had the exciting opportunity to acquire the "tools" needed
for planning their college educations and careers. Participants
learned how to find scholarships and financial aid and also learned
essential interview and networking skills. Seminars focused on various
college, career and life topics, including ACT tips, job shadowing,
internships and local volunteer activities. Key note speaker was
Scarlotte Deupree Kilgore, Miss Alabama 2002 and First Runner-up
to Miss America 2003.

its second annual conference, EWI of Huntsville partnered with professional
women from six different local organizations to provide seminars
on critical life skills and thought-provoking materials to the young
women who attended. The key note speaker for the conference was
Linda Spalla, author and retired local TV executive.

The
inaugural Executive Women of Tomorrow Conference focused on helping
high school girls plan their college education and subsequent careers.
Specific sessions included "Writing a Winning Application,"
"Interview Skills and the Four-Second Impression," "Interpersonal
Skills Assessment" and a "College Prep Panel." During
lunch the attendees were treated to a fashion show called "Style
Strategies."
